Not all domainers and domain investors are snipers.
Some value their time. They just place their maximum bid at their convenience and move on. In that way, they don't get caught up in the excitement of bidding and overpaying.

it strikes me funny that for a week long auction 90 plus percent of the action didnt occur till the final 5 - 15 minutes. i guess that is standard, everyone was waiting to the end to try to snipe, but that also goes to show, imo, that these were all domainer and domain investor buys, and scant if any end-users found their way to this auction

Most of these domains suck unless you are and enduser with a viable biz idea. These prices are 150 years Rev.
thank god their are still alot of suckers out there. Keyholders.com was listed on Sedo during the auction with a bin of $999. LOL
Some of these domains aren’t worth reg fee eg. visitbolivia gets maybe 1 type-in a week.

Congrats Mike. I had no idea you had picked that up.

Yes, that's a good strategic catch for you and allows you to complete your monopoly in the malls category. Very nice.

Shoppingmalls.com we bought.

We already own and are developing out malls.com and also own outletmalls.com so it was one we kind of had to buy

From this list, two stood out as having some potentially interesting development angles -> ShoppingMalls.com and Entrepreneur.biz

"Shopping Malls" in .com would qualify as a very high quality acquisition. One that one be great for a commercial real estate firm who handle properties of this size.

"Entrepreneur" seems a great fit for the .biz web address, and there's lots of drop-in content available in this subject area. Or the custom content route for the right person/company.
