There is no requirement for a trademark to file a UDRP. This is especially true of last names and people’s names. Most UDRP inolving people’s names depend on common law marks. You know this too.

Ferrari like Klimt is a last name. If I use Ferrari.com to sell Ferraris don’t think I’d get a UDRP?

Same goes for klimt. Its only value is in selling this guy’s art. UDRP’s for last names are very common as I am sure you know.

How much is it at now? $360k? That is insane … I have to agree with Jack on the value. Just because the art sold that high doesn’t mean that same valuation goes for the domain. Tho if it does sell that high it will be good for the industry even better if it was me selling it!

Klimt.com is basically worthless. I wouldn’t pay $500 for it. It doesn’t matter how much his art sells for.

back in the days when i was an artist i did a very similar sculpture… it was called walking bum… it wasn’t cast in bronze and it wasn’t as large… but you coulda got it for less than half of 104.3 million. too late now though… i’m holdin’ on to it.
