well for whatever reason ham and co arnt partners with .cm anymore the evidence i've seen remains that there are very few names in this space worth the regfee. i'd love to hear from some of the future owners of these if that doesnt turn out to be the case.

in any event good luck to all.

Hi Johnny, how many people will install the plugins ? For sure you can make an "autocorrection plugin" but why ban a whole ccTLD? So .om and .co will also be banned ?

If you make such a plugin you can ban whatever ccTLD you want .de, let's redirect to .com ...

I think you got it wrong. It was a "land rush" when Ham discovered it. Now it's sloppy seconds. If he paid peanuts that's what enabled profitability. When you pay retail , where is the margin. And if you don't have lawyers on retainer......

I'll say this: Have you ever read the TOS for HitFarm.com ? There is no mechanization for canceling your contract with them. It automatically renews every year.......and they have a no compete clause in it.

That HitFarm.com contract has that back door trap and that is why they have never won my business. You also have to sign a contract and show them your parking numbers from other companies.

In regards to .cm the plugins and browsers will auto correct this eventually and those domains will be marginalized.

I am not saying they are not "fair", I am saying they are greedy, they paid them some 5-digit amount a month if I recall correctly. So they made killing for a while instead of making little less but stable income for longer...

D

I don't know the details of the deal they had or why they lost it.

I have dealt with the Ham Brothers on several occasions and find them to be hard working, smart guys who have always been very fair in the dealings with me.

Ham is not working it anymore because he was paying them PITTANCE, they did not know the value. But then other domainers started to contact them and they were selling the best for something like 5 grand for 5 years. So Ham's traffic was getting lower and lower in the end he wanted to pay them less and less and now they got smarter and are marketing it (surely someone smart advising them). Ham is greedy as fcuk so he lost them.

Very risky bet. I've seen typo traffic from a limited number of .cm's and it wasn't that big a deal.

Maybe thats the real reason Ham isnt working it anymore.
