OK girls, first the domain is now beeing tested at several parking places simultaneously. Keep reloading and of course if you see something interesting CLICK :) Second I will not waste any traffic only to sit on it for years and wait for some buyer, that's not my MO. I can afford any defense and I can as well afford to lose it. In bulk and long time horizon I will be always better off than people sitting on domains affraid they could lose it for autooptimized parking. And lastly - the big number of trademarks is actually advantage in UDRP because it only means the term BSA is not distinctive. And I never heard of "Boy scouts" sounds like some pedo club if you ask me :)

Now, it is pointed towards Parked.
And, the links are just as bad.

Maybe, the owner needs to immediately enter the keyword - baseball.
Just to temporarily save the domain.

And, ask Parked to set the domain to a 2 click page.
Presently, it is on a 2 click page but will switch when more traffic hits it.

The best solution would be for the owner to quickly develop the domain using a mini site about Bali, Baltimore, Baseball, or boating, etc.

Acro

I agree that especially when a non-profit group in involved, especially one as famous as the boy scouts, its a very tough road to keep the domain in a UDRP.

Anyone remember WWF.com?

Any of you know what BSA stands for, other than Boy Scouts of America? Take a look at BSA.org - I feel sorry for the buyer. The selling price is about 50% below market value making it a great acquisition but the risk of a loss is extremely high.

I bet BSA.com gets a fair bit of traffic but may prove tricky to legally earn any PPC from it.

BSA (Birmingham Small Arms) were very popular motorcyles in their day ! My dad had a couple in the late 50's, they still have quiet a following around the world.......classics !

Here's a link incase some of you have'nt ever heard of them

Agree with others that bsa.com winning bidder needs to attend to the existing ppc links.

A few more from NameJet in the past week:
inmatefinder.com $8,100
poesie.com $6,739 (auction a week earlier ended at same price, same winner)
zele.com $3,700
uncensorednews.com $2,001
executivebenefits.com $2,000
basin.net $1,550
saveatree.com $1,550

BSA has a lot of potential.
Unfortunately, the TM's are a major threat. Like walking thru a mine field.

If the buyer is outside of the U.S., it slightly reduces a threat from Boy Scouts of America.

However, it is presently pointed towards NameDrive with a number of TM holders on the page.

Because of the trade coverage, If they don't do something immediately they will lose it.

Today, the domain owner has a China address. But, that won't help because of the NameDrive links.

"Despite"? That's exactly why it sold for 17K....... I'm yet to see any successful domainer consider "trademarks" as a risk. This statement does not apply to all trademarks, further this is based on my personal observation of the industry over the course of the last 11 years. I do not claim to be one of these domainers, and I personally stay away from trademarks, but if you are set up correctly (offshore) got in early (drop in CPC not killing you) trademark domains offer the largest and fastest opportunities for windfall profits. I would love to have a domain were 13 U.S. trademark holders were jockeying for the highest bid, wouldn't you?

BSA.com is a great domain and the price is very fair.

This is one that should hold its value and there is many uses for this domain as well.

Maybe one of the TM holders will pay for this name?
