A quick lesson in domain values:

A .org domain name is second in extension value under .com domains.

No other extension will compete with a .org domain name in the next 2 years other than .com.

Catholic.org worth $200k? It’s worth more. There’s very simple reasons for this, and a lot of domainer’s overlook these reasons, except for my clients . I shouldn’t be posting this, because I will gladly pick up one word .org domains from anyone for on the cheap.

If you have a one word .org domains, and will accept $200 for each, send me your list and I’ll consider them.

I’ve got WorldHistory.org, AmericahHistory.org, MilitaryHistory.org, and ReligiousHistory.org. I’ve even got blogs w/ lots of traffic running on the first 3 (They actually get lots of type-in too). I’d be happy to sell the whole lot of them for $200k. Any takers?

I have a couple of .ORG domains:

SLCUtah.org
AfricanSingles.org

I own around 1,700 domains and have decided to trim down my list a little.

Where can I go to get a value on the 2 .ORG domains I own.

Also, where would a good place to go to sell them?

There is no doubt Rick Latona is a very good businessman but I sometimes am baffled by his blog posts.

For a guy who is heavily involved in buying and selling domains, does he not expect his “knock ‘em off their high horse” advice will come back to haunt him? I guess he doesn’t expect any of his readers will attempt to knock HIM off HIS high horse.

200k is a bit steep, but perhaps if we look at the website that comes along with catholic.org and the traffic and value that the website has added to the domain maybe it could start to get up there.

You might be right but according to Ron Jackson’s DN Journal:

French) from Berkens. The previous .org high water mark was the $150,349 paid for Date.org in December 2006. Only three other reported .org sales have reached the six-figure mark; Loan.org at $105,500, University.org at $100,000 and Coffee.org, also at $100,000. Berkens, an attorney who is one of the pioneer domainers, has a blog at TheDomains.com where readers are currently discussing this landmark sale.
