After using millions of browsers

Google’s done it again, and without the first in the market ahead this time.
I am impressed, Chrome is now my default browser, don’t think I’ll change some time soon.

Google should of acquired the Mozilla organization a long time ago….now it is too late

The chrome browser is nothing special really.. I used it for about 1 hour and was not impressed. Back to FF.

Those are only the figures for the news.com site. The figures for the wider web would probably show IE in the high seventies at least. Chrome has not really hit the mass market yet in the way that Firefox has and the pre-install nature of IE will be very difficult to overcome. With Chrome taking market share, those relying purely on direct navigation to monetise their sites should be very worried.

Numbers are somewhat impressive but I would bet a large chunk of the 3.6% are simply the early adopters of any new technology google rolls out. Personally, I’m not a fan of the browser but will be interesting to see how the reach grows over the next few months. My money is you won’t see it pose a great challenge to IE or FireFox for some time .. in its current version.

Given the monster behind it, what surprises me here is not the share Chrome’s run up in a very short time … but the probability that Firefox may soon overtake IE.

Now that’s impressive.

That’s quite impressive considering how new it is. I might have to give it a try once I’m confident most of the bugs are worked out. I wouldn’t be surprised to see it take over Safari either.

I used Chrome only few times just to check it out. It is not yet ready to use browser but in few months, years – it can be as popular as FF or IE. It is the power of Google to make it happen.
