Google Paid Clicks Slows for Second Month in a Row

According to a report by the research firm comScore, Inc., Google had its second straight month of disappointing growth in paid clicks. Data from comScore indicate that Google’s paid clicks in February rose only 3% compared with the same month a year earlier.

Paid clicks are the number of times Google search users click on a sponsored-search result, generating revenue from the company’s advertising customers.

Google reported 25% growth in paid clicks in its fiscal fourth quarter ended in December, but comScore data released last month showed flat growth in Google’s paid clicks in January

The February paid click figures could reinforce the perception that Google is vulnerable to the recent troubles in the broader economy.

Google shares are down $14 in early trading on Thursday.

Interesting post – since there are many more Company’s entering the PPC Business they are taking part of the $$ in advertising revenue (customers) so google is NOT imune to the broader economy.
